First you want to research! But understand that just because a breeder shows and has won titles does not mean that they have quality stock. Confusing yes, I know, I know. I dont make the rules this is just what I have learned in all my research since 1993.
Research the Breeder,
the Breeding Stock,
the kennel yard,
the purposes for breedings that are taken place,
the accomplishments of the stock,
the goals of the breeder,
the health evaluations on the stock the breeder has performed,
how many litters have been produced,
the progress of those produced litters,
the whereabouts of those past litters,
the activities participated in,
titles won,
hip scores,
guarantees,
past references provided,
& find your own references as well,
test the breeder with as many questions your lil heart desires to ask. Remember a breeder with nothing to hide,
and the breeds best interest at heart will be more than willing to assist you and ease your mind and the millions of questions you have.
Be sure to ask whatever questions you may have no matter how silly you may think that they are. Keep in mind a breeder who does not question you as if you are a witness to a crime, just may be one of those breeders after the $$$. A good breeder will want to assure she/he is placing their baby in only the most suitable home. They will want to feel comfortable & confidient in their decision to approve your application as a new Corso owner.
We hoped to have provided a bit of helpful info for you when locating your Breeder. GET YOU YOUR OWN REFERENCES AS WELL THROUGH RESEARCH!! We have also provided a few helpful links above make sure you DO YOUR RESEARCH!
